The concept behind this film is loosely based on ecofeminist theory, in particular on the thesis of the ecological professor Émilie Hache that those who see themselves as part of their environment will not destroy it. It is about dissolving the dualism and artificial distinction between nature and culture, the earth and people.
This gave rise to the idea of visualising an utopian fusion between man and nature.
The video presents a vision of the personified earth Mother Nature and therefore utilises a dream-like, utopian aesthetic.
The film leaves the viewer plenty of room for interpretation - like trying to interpret a dream after waking up.
